Lexy Lovestruck is an internationally published model residing in California. She has been professionally modeling for four years. Turn to pg. 10 for a fun interview with Lexy Lovestruck!
Dye Magazine: Now, be honest, how often do you go to the salon to have a trim or get your color touched up?
Lexy Lovestruck: “For my hair, I do all of my work myself, and I’ve found I usually end up touching up my hair about once a month to keep the color nice and vibrant!”
Dye Magazine: Are you someone who enjoys spring? Or do the violent winds and pollen drive you bonkers?
Lexy Lovestruck: “I love the springtime! It is probably my favorite time of year. I enjoy all the blossoms and the weather starting to get warmer. The creative energy starts to flow again once the weather changes!”
Dye Magazine: Do you have any big plans for summer? If not going on a vacation, possibly a stay-cation?
Lexy Lovestruck: “This year, I have no real plans for summer. I will be busy with a lot of personal projects as well as finish up school.”
Dye Magazine: Do you follow astrology? What is your sign, and do you think it fits you?
Lexy Lovestruck: “I do follow astrology a little bit; I certainly believe there is some legitimacy to it all. My sign Cancer, the emotional moon sign. I would say it almost fits me a little too well sometimes! I think having the ability to feel emotions as deeply as I do helps fuel my creativity in a lot of different ways.”
Dye Magazine: Mercury is currently in retrograde. When this astrological event occurs, do you find that it affects your life?
Lexy Lovestruck: “I find it sometimes does more than others. I am certainly more cautious in a lot of respects when it is!”
Dye Magazine: When driving in the car, how do you pass the time? Do you dance to music, yell at drivers, disagree with talk radio, listen to a book on tape…?
Lexy Lovestruck: “I usually don’t find myself driving too long of distances, but when I am driving, I usually have my music on to help pass the time.”
Dye Magazine: What jobs have you done other than being a model?
Lexy Lovestruck: “I currently work at a rock, mineral, and crystal shop! I learn so much being around it all and can easily find inspiration when it’s lacking! I have worked there for a little over two years and have learned so much; I am fortunate to have a job I love so much.”
Dye Magazine: Who is someone that supports your pursuit in the arts? How do they show you that they support you?
Lexy Lovestruck: “I am very lucky and have a lot of support. My friends, family, my significant other, as well as other creatives in the industry. They will come to shoots with me and help with the occasional BTS and always purchase publications I am a part of. This next month I will be hosting my first workshop, and I have had more support than I could have ever dreamed of!”
Dye Magazine: Do you believe there is such a thing as bad art? Can you think of any bad art you recently saw and why you thought that?
Lexy Lovestruck: “I don’t believe there is such a thing as ‘’bad art’’ every person’s art is unique to the individual creating it. It expresses who they are at that very moment in their life, and I think that’s an inspiring and beautiful thing! It’s an interpretation of who they are in some form or another, and I think that is valuable even if it doesn’t fit someone’s particular art style or taste.”
Dye Magazine: What do you hope is the reaction of the viewer when they see these images?
Lexy Lovestruck: “I, more than anything, just want to inspire people and other creatives to create, so I hope to accomplish that in not only this set but every other I share!”
